PRESS RELEASE

Retired Police Chief Tim Sletten supports Jake Johnson

RED WING, MN — Retired Red Wing Police Chief Tim Sletten, who served in law enforcement in Red Wing for over 30 years, is supporting Jake Johnson for Congress.

In expressing his support, Sletten argued that Rep. Brad Finstad has gone quiet on the decisions coming out of Washington that have hurt Minnesotans, including siding with the push for data centers without answering folks’ questions about what those projects mean for their communities. Sletten pointed to Jake’s 20 years as a public school teacher and his emphasis on listening as the reasons he is ready to represent southern Minnesota. He also highlighted that Jake “has pledged to work with anyone, regardless of party affiliation.”

“I’m honored that Chief Sletten is supporting our campaign,” said Jake Johnson. “After more than 30 years keeping Red Wing safe, Tim knows what leadership and public service should look like. You show up, you listen, and you work with anyone to solve problems. That’s what folks in southern Minnesota deserve from their congressman, and it’s exactly what I’ll do in Washington.”
