Jake Johnson Criticizes Brad Finstad for Voting for the Iran War
Jake Johnson, candidate in Minnesota’s first congressional district, issued the following statement today after Representative Brad Finstad voted against the war powers resolution to stop the war in Iran.
“We cannot afford another reckless war in the Middle East that risks the lives of more Minnesota service members,” said Jake Johnson, who is running for Congress against Brad Finstad.“Spending billions of dollars on endless wars in foreign countries needs to end. I wouldn’t have voted for this war, and instead would have put this money toward making health care, groceries, and utilities cheaper in southern Minnesota. Congress must take action to stop this conflict from escalating further and risking the lives of more service members.”
Brad Finstad, who claims to care about the national debt, just voted to continue the decades-long pattern of reckless spending in the Middle East. The United States has now spent over $8 trillion in the Middle East.
