New Poll Shows Jake Johnson Leading Brad Finstad in MN-01

A new poll released today by HMP shows math teacher Jake Johnson leading Congressman Brad Finstad 47% to 46% in Minnesota's first congressional district.

The numbers underneath the horse race are even worse for Finstad. After four years in Congress, Finstad is underwater in favorability at 37-44. Meanwhile, Jake is viewed favorably by more than two to one among voters who know him (34-14), and more than half the district hasn't even yet formed an opinion of him.

The poll also showed that President Trump's favorability in the district is 44% favorable and 52% unfavorable.

“Our campaign started from nothing 17 months ago, and it’s clear people are ready for change,” said Jake Johnson. “This race is neck and neck because Minnesotans are tired of watching Congressman Finstad vote for policies that make gas, groceries, and healthcare more expensive, while giving billions of dollars in tax breaks to the data center companies that fund his campaigns. I’m going to keep working hard to win in November, and our grassroots campaign is open to anyone who is ready for change.”
