Jake Johnson Launches Fourth TV Ad, "Anchor"

PINE ISLAND, MN — Today, Jake Johnson launched "Anchor," the fourth television ad of his campaign for Congress. In the ad, Jake stands in front of the land in Pine Island where Google wants to build a 400-acre data center and highlights the difference between Finstad and Jake on data centers.

You can watch the ad here.

The ad began airing today on broadcast and cable TV, on streaming, and on digital platforms across southern Minnesota, joining the campaign's first three ads, "Minivan," "Farmland," and "Math Lesson." It is funded by a grassroots campaign that hasn't taken any money from corporations, a stark contrast to Rep. Finstad, who has taken nearly half a million dollars from corporate PACs.

"Brad Finstad says data centers can be the 'economic anchors' of our communities. But people across southern Minnesota know what actually anchors a town: the public school your kids go to and the hospital that's there when you need it," said Jake Johnson. "Brad took money from data centers, then voted to give them more than $80 billion in tax breaks. How'd he pay for it? By cutting $87 billion out of rural healthcare. I'll invest in our small towns, not data centers."

REMINDER: Finstad took $28,000 from data center companies and then voted to give over $80 billion in tax breaks to the companies building data centers.
