PRESS RELEASE

Jake Johnson Holds Town Hall in Goodhue County

RED WING, MN — Tonight, Jake Johnson held a town hall meeting with over 125 people in Goodhue County. The meeting was open to all members of the public, was widely advertised beforehand, and had no pre-screening of questions. Jake answered questions on a wide range of topics, including on data centers and the proposed 765 kV transmission line that would tear up prime farmland to power them.

“We had great conversations at our town hall meeting in Red Wing tonight,” said Jake Johnson. “I had the opportunity to lay out my plans for how I’ll take on the data centers and the massive transmission line being built to power them, how I’ll champion efforts to expand markets for our farmers, and how I'll fight to end the endless wars. I’m looking forward to our next town hall tomorrow night in New Ulm!”

Jake was introduced by Sheila Beckner, principal at Burnside Elementary School. As many voters know, Finstad instead opts for what he calls “tele town halls”, which are unannounced phone calls that only go to a set of preselected individuals chosen by Finstad’s office, where they can hear Finstad respond to questions with no proof that those questions are not presubmitted.
