Jake Johnson Raises More than $750K Since Launch
Today, public school teacher and first-time candidate Jake Johnson announced he has raised more than $750,000 for his bid to flip Minnesota’s first congressional district after bringing in over $240,000 in Q4. Since launching in April 2025, his campaign has received over 14,000 donations with most of them coming from Minnesota, and none of them coming from corporations.
“Our message of bringing down costs, taking on corruption, and investing in our small towns is clearly resonating across southern Minnesota,” said Jake Johnson. “We will keep working hard to give our neighbors a representative who shows up for them, not for billionaires and big corporations.”
While Representative Brad Finstad is bankrolled by corporate PACs and convicted fraudsters, Jake is cleaning his neighbors’ driveways and washing cars with his former students, many of whom are working on his grassroots campaign. Jake has not taken a dime from corporate PACs, and 95% of the contributions to his campaign have been $100 or less.
