Planned Parenthood Action Fund Endorses Jake Johnson in MN-01
This endorsement comes after Brad Finstad co-sponsored the Life at Conception Act, which would ban nearly all abortions nationwide and threaten access to IVF.
Today, Jake Johnson announced that the Planned Parenthood Action Fund endorsed his campaign for Congress in southern Minnesota. This is their first endorsement of a non-incumbent federal candidate in Minnesota for the 2026 elections.
“Healthcare decisions should be made by patients and their doctors, not politicians and insurance companies,” said Jake Johnson. “Like most Minnesotans, I believe we should restore the protections guaranteed under Roe v. Wade. While Brad Finstad wants to ban abortion without exception, threaten access to IVF, and rip away healthcare from Minnesotans, I will fight to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for hardworking families.”
Rep. Brad Finstad was one of 131 Republicans to co-sponsor the Life at Conception Act, which, according to reporting in The Washington Post, would “ban nearly all abortions nationwide” and threaten access to IVF treatments. Finstad also supported the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Last year, Finstad voted to kick approximately 22,000 of his constituents off of their health insurance, making it even harder for southern Minnesotans to access and afford healthcare.
