PRESS RELEASE

Jake Johnson Holds Town Hall in Brown County

NEW ULM, MN — Tonight, Jake Johnson held a town hall meeting with over 170 people in Brown County. The meeting was open to all members of the public, was widely advertised beforehand, and had no pre-screening of questions. In response to questions, Jake shared his support for a moratorium on data centers, working across the aisle to balance the budget, and investing in our public schools.

“We had great conversations at our town hall meeting in New Ulm tonight,” said Jake Johnson. “I appreciated folks coming out from across the political spectrum, and I welcomed the chance to share my plans to support a data center moratorium, balance the budget, and invest in our public schools. I look forward to seeing folks at our next open, public town hall meeting tomorrow in Nicollet County!”

Jake was introduced by Gerald Woodley, who previously served as Campaign Chair for Brad Finstad and has now endorsed Jake Johnson. As many voters know, Finstad instead opts for what he calls “tele town halls”, which are unannounced phone calls that only go to a set of preselected individuals chosen by Finstad’s office, where they can hear Finstad respond to questions with no proof that those questions are not presubmitted.
