Jake Johnson Holds Town Hall in Jackson County
Last night, Jake held his second of 21 town hall meetings in Jackson, MN, and took questions without any pre-screening and without requiring any pre-registration.
JACKSON, MN — On Monday evening, Jake Johnson held a town hall meeting with over 30 attendees in Jackson, Jackson County. The meeting was open to all members of the public, was widely advertised beforehand, and had no prescreening of questions. Questions ranged from how Jake would work with conservatives, to Jake’s support for term limits, to how Jake would tackle the rising national debt and reckless spending caused by both parties.

“It was great to host a town hall meeting in Jackson and hear from people about the concerns they have,” said Jake Johnson. “These are the types of meetings that our congressman should be hosting, but Brad Finstad has refused to do so his entire time in Congress.”
Jake was introduced by Councilmember Mark Titus, who noted that Finstad has never hosted a similar meeting open to the public. As many voters know, Finstad instead opts for what he calls “tele town halls”, which are unannounced phone calls that only go to a set of preselected individuals chosen by Finstad’s office, where they can hear Finstad respond to questions with no proof that those questions are not presubmitted.
