Jake Johnson Holds More Town Hall Meetings than Brad Finstad
Today, Jake held his first of 21 town hall meetings in Faribault, MN, and took questions without any pre-screening and without requiring any pre-registration.
FARIBAULT, MN — On Saturday evening, Jake Johnson held a town hall meeting with approximately 50 attendees in Faribault, Rice County. The meeting was open to all members of the public, was widely advertised online and in the community beforehand, had no prescreening of questions, and included questions asked by conservatives. Questions were wide-ranging, and covered topics such as tariffs, corruption, checks and balances, data centers, the boundary waters, and healthcare access.

“It was great to host our first of 21 town hall meetings in Rice County, hearing from people about their problems and how we could help solve them together,” said Jake Johnson. “I’m proud that we’ve now hosted more town hall meetings than Representative Finstad, and we’re just getting started.”
This event was a strong contrast to Representative Brad Finstad, who has not held a single in-person town hall meeting throughout his entire 4-year tenure in office. Finstad instead opts for what he calls “tele town halls”, which are unannounced phone calls that only go to a set of preselected individuals chosen by Finstad’s office, where they can hear Finstad respond to questions with no proof that those questions are not presubmitted.
