PRESS RELEASE
Jake Johnson Launches Fifth TV Ad, "Town Hall"
Today, Jake Johnson launched "Town Hall," the fifth television ad of his campaign for Congress. The ad shows scenes from the public, in-person town halls that Jake held in all 21 counties of southern Minnesota this summer, which were publicly advertised in advance, allowed anyone to walk in, and had no pre-screening of questions. More than 1,800 people showed up to Jake's town halls across southern Minnesota.
You can watch the ad here.

"If you’re going to speak for the people of southern Minnesota, you should start by listening,” said Jake Johnson. "That’s why I’ve hosted a public town hall meeting in each of our district’s 21 counties, where anyone could walk in and ask any question. I’ve heard loud and clear: People want a representative who will actually solve problems to bring down costs, take on corruption, and invest in our small towns, and I look forward to bringing these perspectives and priorities to Congress.”
The ad also tells voters they can watch an entire town hall online. The campaign has posted a full, unedited recording of Jake's most recent town hall, held in Harmony on September 26.
The ad began airing today on broadcast and cable TV, on streaming, and on digital platforms across southern Minnesota, following the campaign's first four ads, "Minivan," "Farmland," "Math Lesson," and "Anchor." It is funded by a grassroots campaign that hasn't taken any money from corporations, a stark contrast to Rep. Finstad, who has taken nearly half a million dollars from corporate PACs.
REMINDER: Finstad has never held a public, in-person town hall in his 4+ years in Congress, and he accused his constituents of throwing "a hissy fit" for wanting to ask him questions.
