PRESS RELEASE

Jake Johnson praises accountability for Feeding Our Future founder Aimee Bock

Today, Jake Johnson released the following statement after Feeding Our Future founder Aimee Bock was sentenced to more than 40 years in prison for orchestrating a massive fraud scheme.

“Aimee Bock led a $242 million scheme to steal from taxpayers and hungry children, and I’m glad to see that she has been held accountable for her crimes,” said Jake Johnson. “The work to deliver justice and accountability must continue. Everyone else who broke the law in these fraud schemes should be prosecuted and sent to jail, and we need to do everything possible to recover stolen funds and make sure this never happens again.”

About Jake: Jake grew up in Stewartville, Minnesota, with ten siblings, as the son of a garbage man and a meter reader. Jake worked hard to make it into the middle class, supported along the way by his church community, public programs, and great teachers, which inspired him to become a math teacher. Today, Jake and his wife Molly are raising four boys in southern Minnesota, and they feel the rising cost of groceries, utilities, and healthcare firsthand. After 20 years in the classroom, Jake is running for Congress to bring down costs, take on corruption, and invest in small towns, so that his students have a shot at the American Dream like he did.
