Jake Johnson Holds Town Hall in Martin County

FAIRMONT, MN — Jake Johnson held a town hall meeting with over 75 people in Martin County. The meeting was open to all members of the public, was widely advertised beforehand, and had no pre-screening of questions. In response to questions, Jake discussed the importance of term limits, balancing the budget, and working across the aisle.

“Last year, we launched our campaign in Fairmont. Last night, we were back in Fairmont to continue listening to residents about the problems and opportunities in their community,” said Jake Johnson. “I’ll keep showing up and listening so I can go to Congress and actually solve problems for southern Minnesota.”

Jake was introduced by Jim Davison, a retired principal at Fairmont Elementary School who identifies as an independent. As many voters know, Finstad instead opts for what he calls “tele town halls”, which are unannounced phone calls that only go to a set of preselected individuals chosen by Finstad’s office, where they can hear Finstad respond to questions with no proof that those questions are not presubmitted.
